CNS Study Team

Our site is supported by a large, highly experienced CNS research team with extensive hands‑on involvement in clinical trials across psychiatric and neurological indications. All investigators have direct experience in conducting CNS studies.

The team includes:

  •  13 investigators – 11 psychiatrists and 2 neurologists, including 4 investigators with Principal Investigator (PI) qualifications
  • 2 pharmacists
  • 3 study coordinators
  • 4 study nurses
  • 6 psychedelic therapists / facilitators / dosing‑session monitors

The team meets regularly for operational discussions to ensure high‑quality study execution and alignment across projects. The CNS research group is led by Dr Grzegorz Kuczyński, CNS Team Lead, who also supervises the team of psychedelic facilitators.
The Coordination Team is managed by Patrycja Markiewicz.

Experience in Psychedelic Research

Our team has substantial experience in the field of psychedelic therapy and psychedelic‑assisted clinical research. We have conducted clinical projects involving psilocybin, LSD, and 5‑MeO‑DMT, as well as studies with S‑ketamine, which was administered to approximately 40 participants over an eight‑year period.

We are experienced in conducting Phase II–III clinical trials across a broad range of psychiatric and neurological indications, including:

  • Major depressive disorder
  • Treatment‑resistant depression
  • Generalized anxiety disorder
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Borderline personality disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Insomnia
  • Neurological disorders
  • Insomia, autism (adolestent psychiatry)

Site Overview

The Gdańsk site, operating under the PI‑House brand, became part of Penta Hospitals Polska in mid‑2024. It is a long‑established, specialized clinical research site focused on the development of therapies in psychiatry, neurology, dermatology, metabolic diseases, and rheumatology.

For over a decade, our Clinical Research Center in Gdańsk has conducted more than 250 clinical trials. With a team of 35 experienced and highly engaged professionals, we run approximately 60 active studies annually, combining strong clinical expertise with a patient‑centered approach.

The site is located in northern Poland, in the city of Gdańsk, which is very well connected and easily accessible from all parts of the country by air, train, or road.

Dosing Rooms and Dedicated Infrastructure

For psychedelic studies, our site offers two dedicated dosing rooms designed specifically to support psychedelic‑assisted therapy protocols.

Each room:

  • Sound-insulated and separated from the main clinical area for privacy and comfort
  • Equipped with a private bathroom
  • Furnished with comfortable medical-grade beds
  • Designed to accommodate two therapists/facilitators
  • Fitted with adjustable lighting to support session requirements
  • Equipped with audio system and the option to install video-recording equipment
  • Equipped with an emergency call button

The interior design and décor can be adapted to sponsor‑specific requirements and individual study protocols.

Patient Recruitment

Patient recruitment is supported by several complementary sources. For each study, a tailored recruitment strategy is developed. Recruitment activities are supported by a dedicated recruitment team, ensuring timely enrollment while maintaining high ethical and quality standards.
